"The EPLE (P) Bill, introduced into the House of Commons on 17 September, will provide for piloting of innovative voting methods at the European Parliamentary general election of 2004 and at local government elections, where these are combined with the European Parliamentary election. These regional pilots will represent a continuation and scaling-up of the Government’s successful programme of piloting innovative voting methods, which began in 2000."
